Barking Heads Dog Food Review

Today Storm has been a very lucky boy and has received a sample pack from Barking Heads. So I thought it would be best to do a Barking Heads Dog Food Review. Continue reading to find out more about Barking Heads and what Storm thinks of their food.

Who Are Barking Heads?

Barking Heads are food suppliers for Dogs and Cats. They pride themselves on being 100% natural, wholesome and nutritionally positive. They also use UK sourced ingredients.

Barking Heads food contains NO Artificial

  • Colouring’s,
  • Flavourings,
  • Preservatives,
  • Genetically-modified ingredients
  • E-baddies.

You can’t grumble at that!

Barking Heads have been going since 2008, so they are coming up for their 10th birthday next year. The owners of Barking Heads used to work for an American Pet Food company. But decided to develop Barking Heads when the pet food company they worked for was bought out by the people who make Mars Bars!

So now you know a little about the company I’m sure you want to know what Storm thought of the food. If you do want to find out more about Barking Heads and the products they provide then visit their website.

So firstly this is what we received:

Lovely quirky packaging straight through the letter box. We loved the packaging.

Barking Heads

Inside the box was a packet of “Quackers” dry dog food. Storm only eats dry dog food. Wet food sends him “cakey”

There was also a information booklet which was most helpful. The booklet contained all the ranges of dog food which they do. It also has some background information about Barking Heads.

About “Quackers”

So this is some information about the sample pack Storm has received

Quackers is a tasty, protein-rich 50% duck and added sweet potato delight! Rich in antioxidants, it stabilises blood-sugar levels and lowers insulin resistance.

Quackers is also grain-free. Why? Because dog food with very high meat content is tastier, more nutritious and easier to digest (with fewer carbs) and grains like wheat and barley are common contributors to canine allergies. Certain dogs can’t tolerate grains in their diets so we provide all types of food for all types of dogs.

The Taste Test

Storm is a fussy eater, he is not a typical scoffer when it comes to food. He knows what he likes and what he doesn’t like. I rarely change Storms food because I fully believe if its not broke don’t fix it.

I think the best way to show how the taste test went is with a little video

A little run down of the taste test

Firstly I got Storm’s attention, he came running into the kitchen to see what goodies I had for him. Storm was intrigued by what I had in my hand.

After a little sniffing and jumping the food went in the bowl.

A good wait at the bowl and then the go ahead to eat happened.

Within a minute the food bowl was empty.

Overall it looks like Storm really enjoyed his Barking Heads food sample and would like to say Thank You so much to the kind people at Barking Heads for sending something new to try.
